Social Skills groups therapy is designed to help children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by teaching them how to make friends, and how to act appropriately in social situations; two simple social tasts that can pose a huge challenge for a number of children with the developmental disorder.

Similarly to drama therapy, social skills groups aim to provide a comfortable, real world- learning environment for the participants.
